Self Care and Rose Quartz

This week has been particularly annoying because my mood has been all over the place. I forgot to take my meds one morning and had a small panic attack that day. Later in the week I had a full blown panic attack at work and locked myself in the bathroom until my eyes weren't puffy anymore. And here and there the feeling of 'meh', interrupted my regular programming of joyfulness and laughter. In my head I had too many things to do before I could even think about stopping to breathe (I'm also a Leo; I need to get it all right now). The point being - I didn't put my own self care first and my anxiety came to get me. And sometimes it comes like a mob hit.

In our modern day busy schedule we forget to pause and take care of ourselves; either physically, mentally, or spiritually. Most of the time it feels like there are too many things to do and not enough time get through the whole list, but what happens when you peter out and run out of gas? Are you going to be most helpful to yourself or anyone if your tank is empty? The answer is, simply, no.

Take five minutes, maybe thirty minutes, an hour, or all day if you can. Do something that makes you smile and rejuvenates you. Unplug for a little bit and get some air. Read something you enjoy. Take a nice bath or go get a pedicure. Spend time with your pets. Literally anything that is going to fill your tank up.

Creativity is something that has always helped me come back to life. That's why I enjoy this blog so much; it let's me explore new ways to create something meaningful. Now bring in the rose quartz! I have been super drawn to this stone all month and for good reason. Quartz in general has such a unique and beautiful vibration, it's very good to keep around to raise your own vibration. I use rose quartz specifically for love and compassion, whether it be self love or relationships. It also helps boost self confidence which is fabulous if you have mood disorders like I do. I have a giant piece of rose quartz that I got in the mail and I get an instant feeling of joy whenever I look at it or hold it in my hands. I also have this great rose quartz face roller that my mom got me for Christmas. It's a tiny luxury to take a few minutes before bed and massage my face with it. I can feel my face tingle afterwards!

I hope you stop for a little bit this week to take some time for yourself. Even if it's only for a few minutes, make it all about you. I believe it is perfectly acceptable to be a little selfish and put yourself first from time to time. After all, we're just trying to be our best selves.

What do you do that gives you life? Do you have a specific self care routine? I want to know! Put it in the comments so everyone can get inspired!

Blessed Be!

Cheers XO
